Senior Claims Associate, IRM APAC

As our service offering continues to expand, a newly created opportunity has arisen for a professional Claims Associate, to join our elite team of Regional Centre of Excellence in Shanghai.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a key member of IRM APAC Claims team, contributing to the achievement of the organizational business objectives.
- Manage high volume marine cargo / freight claims from different APAC countries, ensuring the claims are handled swiftly and efficiently, steering comprehensive investigation into the underpinned circumstances, reviewing and deciding on the validity of a claim, checking for any potentially fraudulent activity and proactively achieving economic, early resolution for all customer claims in accordance with industry standards and company guidelines.
- Pursue robust recovery action against the potential third liable parties including the actual carriers, subcontractors etc.
- Perform loss mitigation and root-cause analysis to identify corrective actions and drive service improvements.
- Maintain effective communications with business partners, customers, underwriters and external experts, including coordinating across multiple departments within the company.
- Enter the claims into the claims system and maintain the system entry in line with the existing claims manual.
- Manage service quality & KPIs monitoring associated to claims handling process, aligning with global initiatives.
- Understand & articulate Claims Management value proposition clearly.
- Deliver claims process awareness training to business colleagues.
- Adhere to legal requirements, industry regulations and customer quality standards set by the board.
- Ensure all regulatory and compliance policies are met in accordance with global guidelines.
- Adopt the DPDHL culture of professionalism, integrity, effectiveness and dynamic attitude contributing to an internal environment of collaborative teamwork and promote a positive insurance & risk management service provision to customers.
Qualifications & Attributes:
- 2 + years insurance claims administrative experience in logistics industry.
- Degree in international shipping, insurance, legal or other closely related field.
- Strong affinity to precision and attention to details
- Strong data entry, processing and administrative skills
- Proficient in MS Office particularly Excel and PowerPoint
- Fluent in written & spoken English
- Experienced with operating in a matrix organisation, servicing multiple customers / stakeholders.
